PVC,PACs, Palpitations

I posted this originally in the heart disease forum but I see that it was the wrong forum. I have been reading thru the posts here and what you all have been experiencing.

I have been so frustrated lately that I didn't know where to turn. I have been diagnosed with PVC's,PAC's and slight triscupid regurg. Also at one point I was told I have MVP but due to diagnostic criteria changing now they say I don't have it. Go figure. Until recently I wasn't bothered much and all cardiac tests were "normal" as well as a bunch of bloodwork. Lately tho I have noticed a sinking sensation and then what I can only describe as a funny feeling in my head. Kind of like a warm rush. I have felt the skipped beats and am not sure if what I am experiencing now could be two or more in a row. I don't take any meds yet because I have normally low blood pressure and a slow resting pulse (57). The episodes occur mostly when I am laying down either watching tv or when trying to fall back to sleep. It seems many doctors chalk this up to being caused by anxiety when in my opinion this produces anxiety. So I feel like I am stuck in a cycle I can't get out of. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Thanks for the response. :-)  From reading other posts in this forum it's good to know that we aren't alone or "crazy".  I get tired of being made to feel like it's all in my head.
:-(  The toughest thing about it all is learning not become anxious when it happens since that only makes it's worse.. although it's easier said than done. I have had holter monitor, ekgs and an echo and I think when I go to cardiologist today I'll see if he wants to do holter for longer than 24 hours. I know an event monitor probably won't capture anything because the feeling is too shortlived but I'll see what I says. I would rather not start medication if I don't have to nor do I really want to go thru any invasive tests, basically because I am a big fat chicken.  I do have a hiatal hernia and GERD which I understand from others that this can make symptoms worse at times.

Keep us posted on how you're doing and how the tests go.

I don't have an answer for you but just wanted you to know that I have similar symptoms. I have been having lots of headaches and some things like you described. I think mine is due to my blood pressure dropping quickly. It makes my head feel funny and I get a lot of skipped beats then. Maybe that is what is going on with you. I feel the same about the anxiety thing. Everyone has a certain amount of stress and anxiety, but I believe that this is the cause of major anxiety when you know something is not right but you don't know what it is. I changed doctors because I was not getting any answers and have a new doctor that is really trying to figure out what is going on. The down side to that is you have to endure a lot of tests. I am scheduled Wednesday for a TEE and cardiac catheter which I am wondering if I really need. Hang in there and keep pushing the doctors for answers.
