heart hesitation
Im 36 non smoker or drinker healthy moderate exercising female who recently especially at night I can hear and feel my heart hesitate before it beats. My boy friend confirmed this it does it about every 10 beats? No family history of heart problems. Dont have ins but tell me should I be making a appointment?
I will always tell you to get a cardiac workup or at least see a cardiologist, but I wouldn't get too excited just yet. The "hesitation" you feel is probably the pause after a PVC. This is an extra beat, but since the heart is refractory, it can't fill up at the normal time and waits for the NEXT signal, which feels like a pause. You should always make sure your heart is normal first.
