heart rythmmm

hi i am 36fem mum of 3.

history
hashimoto thyroiditis since 20years old
gerd erosive gastritis since october 2010
panic attack history
recent blood test 33 triglykerides, 155 cholester, 57 hdl
bp 10.5/6.5 - 11.0/7.0

was told 16 years ago i have mitral prolapse with 1/4 regurgitation.
twice i was told  i have nothing and last month was told i have regurgitation in 3 valves with no prolapse (who to believe-different doctors-labs) .

anyway i am 1.65 height , 58-60 kgs, i do brisk walking 5-6 times a week on a treadmill at 5.0/5.5 speed. anyhow today i woke up and was sitting in bed (i have ocd) i checked my pulse and it was
46. i freaked out!!!! i checked and i checked and i checked both with my hands and a bp monitor and my wrist watch , pulse went 51-54. I have seen this low before sometimes when i go swimming afterwards when i come out the cold sea.

i was dubious whether i should do my routine but i did so anyway, i think i had a panic attack cause in the first 13mins i had high pulse (136-140) dry mouth and shaky legs. got off waited few mins and again i did this time i did not have dry mouth but pulse stayed around 135-140. my recovery rate has always been very good so the minute i stopped it subsided from 130 to 73.

usually if i start at 78 i end my workout at 126 . rec rate over 45 beats.

should i worry about the 46 ? at other times my resting rate is around 58-63 unless i am stressed or scared of have eaten.

pls help scared of sick sinus sundrome or bradycardia

thanks everyone

jerry since the age of 20 when i was diagnosed with hashimoto i have had echos of the heart (u/s) about 3/4.

in the first one it showed mvp with 1/4 regurgitation

another one 10 years later showed the same (different lab)
another 2 years after previous showed nothing the cardiologist said no leakage at all (different lab)

another a couple of months ago said i have mild leakage in 3 valves , no mvp (different lab) .

i really dont know what to believe .i am so puzzled.

Your situation is way too complicated for me to give much help.  But, I will say echocardiograms that I have taken over the years are at best approximate and I have with effort stopped worrying about small changes that my cardiologist says is "no change".  Are you valve measures from an echo?  I believe there are some catheter (invasive) methods that give more accurate measurements.

As for a low HR (real rested, just woke up) of 46 isn't a case for bradycardia needing treatment to my understanding, unless there are other problems such as dizziness and blacking out when rising... that sort of thing would worry me.

Sounds like you are working on a healthy heart life-style, and thats good.  I'll bet your heart will "feel" a lot better if you 1) get a "handle" on the anxiety and 2) don't over analyze your measurements if you don't have any troublesome symptoms.

It sounds like you have a lower than normal average heart rate.  If you are not experiencing any undue symptoms from the low rate you likely have nothing to worry about.  In general most cardiac issues are not treated unless they cause troubling symptoms like chest pain, shortness of breath, or passing out.  Issues that make it difficult for one to function.  It sounds like this isn't the case for you and the only reason you became aware of the slow rate is by seeing it on a monitor.  I would suggest since you have the valve problems to contact your cardiologist and let them know what you are experiencing and then they can gauge whether or not they should investigate further but the fact that you aren't experiencing any symptoms with the slow rate I wouldn't worry to much.  Take care and keep us posted on how you are doing.
