personality changes after pacemaker?

will there be personality changes after pacemaker insertion?My son is 24 and fears becoming"hyper",he now is fairly "laid back".Is this unfounded?

His personality will be the same. My brother was 20 when he had a pacemaker put in. He was VERY calm...... and laid back... and he has been the exact same way..the only differeince is he is not going to drop dead of a stroke  or worse.
