I had dental surgery, gyn surgery and a colonscopy with thousands of PVC's, no problem. I was really nervous that the PVC's would cause a big problem, but it didn't happen. The doctors were all fine with me haivng them, and in fact, even when I mentioned VT, they went ahead as planned. The sedation actually worked wonders on the PVC's!!
During the EPS and ablation, the EP said every time they had me on the Versed, the PVC's would terminate. So they had to keep easing me on/off of the IV meds. In fact, if I could stay on Versed, I wouldn't even have PVC's. LOL... Not a good plan since Versed works like a sedative and has an amnesia effect. So, they went ahead with the procedures.
Talk with your doctor about your concerns and he/she will know whether to move forward now, or to wait. Good luck!!

I had a hysterectomy with PVC's. When I expressed my concern to the anestheologist he said "I'm not worried but if you keep on worrying like that you will have an ulcer". I guess the gynecologist filled him in how worried I was about my PVC's. I came through with flying colors.
Wow, I asked this question a few months back because I have to undergo gallbladder surgery and haven't gotten up the nerve to do it yet. When I told the surgeon about my PVC's he laughed (not in a bad way) at me and told me I would be fine. There were a few folk who responded to me, but I'm not sure where the post are as that was back in the fall. They say it's perfectly fine and a lot of times your PVC's dissapear when you are put under.
You do need to see a cardio first however-just to rule out any problems.
