metoprolo

i was put on metoprolo for my extra beats,this makes me very unhappy,i dont want to take medication the rest of my like im only 37!i also have asthma which i have read can worsen with this medication~ i have been on it 3 days and dont seem to even notice a difference since i didnt feel the exta bets in the 1st place.can this correct it self over time or will i always have the extra beats?

i am taking medicine because my dr tells me i am having several extra beats and the medicine should surpess them~Isnt that the goal?i dont want to wait until i am having symtoms and it be much worse of that i am now.

Agree, if the symptoms are not troublesome to you, why take a medication?

If, however, you have high blood pressure, or too high of a heart rate, then you should be on mediation regardless of the absence of symptoms.

I'm sorry your medication is making you so unhappy. Have you seen a cardiologist for your extra beats? If your heart is structurally sound and you are not feeling the extra beats I would question taking the medication. Take care.
