Side Effects

I have had a-fib for over a year. I had cardioversion which worked for 4 weeks. I was put on fleckanide. I developed severe shaking where I couldn't button a shirt, write, or pick up a cup without spilling. Beside the shakilg my hands would jerk when I reached for something often knocking several things to the floor. When on the PC my mouse jerks all over the place. Both my cardiologist and family doctor thought it was a reaction to fleckanide and took me off. The symptoms have decreased somewhat but are now permanent.

The cardioversion was the old fashioned way. I was electrocuted  ;-)

Oblation was explained twice by the practice's electrition. Fleckanide put me into atrial flutter. It was explained that I need 2 procedures, one to get me back into fib and the other to get me into NSR. I have spoken to some people who have had oblation and/or multiple electrocians ;-) and it didn't help. I have had 2 additional symptoms from another medicine (not related to my heart) that have become permanent. Now I am afraid to try any other medicine and will try to live with fib and warfarin.

I assume the symptoms that have decreased are the physical shaking.  That seems to point to Flecanide as the problem.  That is a strong medication and it seems it couldn't hold you in normal sinus rhythm following the electrocardioversion (or was it a Flecanide cardioversion?).

What does you doctor(s) recommend?  Was there any discussion about trying another cardioversion or about ablation ?
