Lots of blood on toilet paper
Two-three years ago I had a colonoscopy performed due to painful bowel movements with bleeding. Turned out to be nothing serious. Anal fissure to be exact. Bright red blood would be on the toilet paper after each bowel movement coupled with pain for a couple of hours. The fissure came and went. I have found that so long as I keep my fiber intake adequate my bowel movements are virtual effortless and discomfort free. Hallelujah right? Problem is I have noticed that I am still getting a good amount of blood on the toilet paper after each bowel movement. If the fissure is gone (for the moment) Why am I continuing to get blood on the toilet paper? No other symptoms. Hemorrhoid perhaps? If so, will that ever go away? And should I seek another colonoscopy this soon?
