HOw is it spread?

How is Hep A spread? I mean is it really easy to catch? i heard you could catch it through fecal-oral route but is there anyother way? and besides that say if someone steps in someone elses fecal and wipes it off thier shoe   does that mean they have a chance of contracting it? i know i sound naive but how else am i supposed to learn if i dont ask. I am sorry if i offend anyone with my stupidity i just wanna no to clear something up.
Please help me to be more aware of the risks! i need help.
Thank you

Hi there, I don't have all the answers , but here's how I and seven others got Hep A. One twelve year old ,who lived in the same bording house with the rest of us,went away for a vacation, and when she returned she brought the Hep A BUG back with her. It was this girls chore to set the meal table at meal time ( dishes , knives, forks, etc. ). She had touched everyones plate, cup, saucer, knife, fork and spoon, and infected everyone that ate at that meal table. That easy, that simple. It was not untill her sibling brothers became sick, and diagnosed with Hep A , that the rest of us knew we were infected. That was 38 yrs ago, don't wanna ever go through that again.  You know what though?, I never did ever get a staight answer from anybody, where that BUG comes from. Wiskers1
