thanks for that advise - she has a shore house this summer so I will push the sunscreen issue hard.
She's starting on my B-Day, good luck to her! If I might offer one little bit of advice, based on my own personal experience w/Telaprevir - have her stay out of the direct sunlight! Trust me in this. It is not the kind of drug that takes too kindly to the sun. I would suggest wearing at the very least a SPF #15 before going outside into the sun, while on this drug.

From a mental point of view, I would suggest she take the time off if she can, around that first injection. Rather than worrying about if she'll be able to handle work, the inevitable anxiety that comes with the first injection and the start of tx is enough to handle. That would be my suggestion. If it doesn't hit her, all the better.
It went the same way for me...I was good about the first two - three weeks and then *wham* .. the anemia set in.
Good luck to her.
