Hello,

Need advice.  steveNYer.  I see that you answered one of the many questions I have to the above member.  My new doctor ran a Hepititis Panel, Acute w/reflex test:

Diagnoses came back as: Hepatitis B Surface Antigen REACTIVE----Ref Range NON-REACTIVE---Abnormal---A

Hepatitis B Core Antibody, Hepatitis C Antibody came back---NONREACITVE

Signal Cut Off Result Value 0.04 <1.00

I have possibly been living with this virus all my life and think it may have been past to me at birth form my parent(s).  I have gone for over 20 years without treatments.  The above result cam formmy new doctor and I got those resluts last months.  I am now researching and trying to educate myself on this virus and hope for a cure.  I assume that I am a chronic hep b carrier.

What does my result means?  Is their hope a possible cure for me since I've gone all this time without treatment and what to start now?

The only way to know if you are immune is to ask your doctor to run the HepB panel (labs).

If you get
HBsAg negative
with
HBsAb positive
then you are good to go (immune)
