It looks like you are chronic billy. This is coz you do not have the IgM antibody. It is this antibody that indicates whether you have been infected recently or not. Because you do not have this it suggests that you have been infected and not managed to clear the virus. So if diagnosed chronic then you will have the virus for life until a cure is found. But there are many meds that can keep you living a normal and healthy life. So You will need to monitor your situation with a liver specialist.

The next time you see your doc you should ask him about your HBV DNA viral load, as this will tell you how infectious you are and how fast the virus is replicating. If high, then meds will take this down. You also need to get you HBeantigen converted from positive to negative and get your anti-HBe converted from negative to positive. This is the holy grail for all chronics as this seroconversion indicates healthier outcome.

There are many websites to look at online about chronic HBV. Get reading them and educate yourself about the virus. Once you understand what is going on you will feel much less anxious and more in control of things. However the good news is that you now know you have this virus and so you are able to look after it well, unlike those poor folk out there who have the virus as we speak and yet don't even know it. You at least are able to now keep an eye on it.
