No you do not have the virus. Blood banks routinely run an "anti-HBc," but they do not routinely run an "anti-HBs."
If your anti-hbc is positive then you have had a recent or past infection. This is what the blood banks go by and don't go by your antibodies.
I have also read that highly sensitive equipment can still detect very minute traces of the virus. However, not to the point where you one would be infectious or cause problems.
thank you
but what i want to understand is that if im not infectious do i currently have the virus??
no you are not infectious, but you will not be allowed to donate blood. I don't know about medical school requirements but I don't think it would be a problem. But you have to double check that.
would i be able to enroll with these results ?
i dont know am i infectious ?
thank you
but do i currently have hep b?
It looks like you are immune due to past infection that you were able to clear.
