A friend of mine DROVE about 7 miles to Walgreens and bought a spatula at midnight. Then she drove to the policve barracks (her hubby is a mounted officer), he got her home and then she called me. She found the spatula the next day and the only reason she knew where it came from was because the receipt was right there.
Yes ambian CR is better because of the slow release. Ambian is a great drug and helps many people including people treating HCV.
This ambien sounds like an experiment gone wrong,i cat believe they approved this drug, its out right DANGEROUS
I took the regular Ambien and did the sleep walking thing too... and eating! One night I put the dog out.... poor thing! The next morning I thought I had dreamed it until I couldn't find her to put her out.
Now I'm taking the Ambien CR and haven't had that problem... I think it is because it is slow release, so there isn't as much in your blood stream at one time.
For me to be able to sleep for more than 3 hours a night, it is worth taking the chance. Insomnia is hell!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yikes! It sounds concerning but if the house is dusted and vacuumed in the morning Mrs. Glass might not mind a few of those episodes!

You washed all your shirts in your sleep?!
That's staggering....and scary....and I hope it doesn't happen again, as good as it is to have clean shirts and twice clean shirts.
I wonder if you're more likely to have another episode, now that it's happened for the first time?
Good luck and let us know how you fix this.
Susan
P.S. I can't even wash my husband's shirts when I'm awake.
Yeah. I've been taking it for the last 6 months with no problems. I only take it on work nights (5 days/week). Actually, I'm not sure it is having any effect on me. I think it just helps me psychologically knowing that I took it.
I wish it would make me clean in my sleep :)
don't let a few bad experiences stop you from taking Ambian. it is a great drug to help you sleep and is prescribed by most Hepatologist's for people treating HCV.
wow... that's some scary stuff.... even though one can joke about it now.
Doing laundry is harmless, but you could have hurt yourself.

took Ambien for long red eye flights (can not sleep on planes)
never again. Woke up and lost all my short term memory.
Friend of mine did to for same reason , she woke up laying on the
floor of the plane with the stewardess crew standing around her, could not
remember a thing. Never take this stuff when you are alone.
I aslo took Ambien while on treatment...Had some strange episodes...nothing like what you experienced. I was only on them a few months and had to go off of them...besides not sleeping more than 3-4 hours tops emotionally in the am hours was feeling very strange in the head from them.

Haven't had any personal experience with it but in my circle of friends there are a couple who take it, and both of them have had these episodes.
I heard that could happen. I only took Ambian for a few months during tx and never got up during the night (not that I know of anyway) but had a hard time sleeping when I first stopped them.
PS, can you sleep over at my house a few days a week and do my laundry :-)
