So I tried calling my doc today and left 2 messages.he hasn't called me back but my queston is.I took my very last shot of interferon on Friday.as I remember him saying is that I stop taking the ribavarin the following week.I just want to make sure before I stop taking them that today would be my last day to take them.anyway let me know

You should do the protocol called out by your doctor, which is backed up by data from the clinical trial studies...deciding your own regimine could get a person into trouble, in my opinion it's always best to consult with your doctor

I recall a similar thread a few months ago. It seems some Dr.'s tell people to take the last week of riba after the last injection, while others feel riba has such a long half life that its not necessary. I would follow my Dr's advice.

If your last shot was on  Friday April 6 Your last riba pill is Thursday April 12, TONIGHT!!! Friday April 13 would be the beginning of a new  week.... congratulations to you. YOU ARE DONE!!  I just took my last 2 pills about an hour ago!!!!

Hi Mike, My last interferon shot was Monday 4/2 and I stopped taking the riba one week later (on 4/9). Sounds like you are following the same pattern -- that's good. Cheers, GB
