Congrats on being negative!!!  I know how it feels to want to have a wee sip in celebration, I have the same inclination also but I am waiting till I get my 6 month PCR negative result before I indulge myself.

Hi demonfighter big congrats I guess your not stage 4 since your even considering drinking alcohol if so ( not stage 4), there is studies saying your home free.

Although being a bit paranoid If I where you I would wait with the beer until the 24 week mark, then your officially cured at least you would be if you lived in Sweden.

Looking real good, once again congrats!!!

I'd guess that depends on your liver condition when you began TX.  Just my opinion, but if I were stage 3 or 4 fibrosis, I'd wait until I got past 6 months and then it would be a serious question still for me.  If I were 1 or 2, a little celebration (not a bender, haha), not too often would probably not do you any harm.

Alcohol cannot endanger your SVR results but the liver has not had time to finish its post-TX repairs yet.  I was recommended to wait 6 mos. post-EOT to re-biopsy, so I'm guessing that's how long it takes for the majority of liver repair to happen.
