AutoImmune Hepatitis

I have been diagnosed with Autoimmune Hepatitis with Stage 3 liver fibrosis.  I have been under the care of a GI for the last 1.5 years.  We have tried several treatments but nothing seems to be working.  Does anyone have suggestions or a similar situation?

Hi

I have autoimmune hep as well I was so bad I was admitted into the hospital and kept there for 7 days and also told I might have to have a transplant where would I like to go.  Some news for not knowing what was going on at the time. I am very allergic to meds due to the liver diseases and cannot take large doses of meds.  I was originally put on Imuran 50mg and also 20mg of Prednisone to start then Prednisone was decreased because of side effects of tackycardia they wanted me to take more Imuran but that too gave me side effects. After 2 years my levels were all normal to
good to transplant and also off the prednisone.  I still currently take 50mg daily of Imuran.  I am tested (blood work) every 3 month's still and it has been 4 years now.
By the way I have stage 1 Cirhosis as well as choleangitis, and fibrosis.  Have they changed your meds at all.   Some people are on interferon, and others are on other things. I am curious to know how you feel.  Take Care ihbs
