Blood Flew in May Eyes

Yesterday we had a basketball tournament. The level of humidity is high so sweat very much. When we had a timeout yesterday my friend accidentally remove his sweat using his hand and the sweat accidentally flew to my eyes. i felt sweat hit my eyes.

If there's a blood in his sweat and flew to my eyes. do you think i will have risk in hepatitis c?

I also saw somewhere online once that blood splash into mucousal membranes was an attack vector albeit  on the order of risk like eyes, but I could not find an authoritative website like CDC to reference for that one.

Thanks for that information.
I never heard of that method of transmission before.

From http://www.cdc.gov/hepatitis/hcv/hcvfaq.htm

"Although a few cases of HCV transmission via blood splash to the eye have been reported, the risk for such transmission is expected to be very low."

In a word, No. Hepatitis C is a blood borne virus. That means there has to be a blood to blood exchange. Blood contaminated with Hepatitis C has to somehow enter your blood stream.

So based on what you say you should be OK and at no risk
