Good Luck???

Well I am posting this to inform you that know me. I got a phone call today from my local Hepatology group and they told me they had an opening to come available for the Roche NCT00869661 trial. That is a Poly Inhibitor with SOC. I started the ball rolling today I signed all the papers and started pre-testing for the treatment. I am suppose to take my first shot and stuff January 20, 2010. You guys would have been proud of me I pumped questions out that I know they did not expect. They told me I would be covered for any problems that occur from the PI but any other things that were known sides of the SOC like low blood levels,i would be responsible for through my insurance.

I consider myself lucky to get in the trial. I am excited and I believe I will get the PI instead of the placebo. I have a 80% chance of getting the PI. I dread the tx but I will be glad when it is over.

Wish Me Luck..

Tommy

January 20, 2010.

That sounds like a very luck day to me :)

Very very happy for you - the PIs really are changing the history of the disease and that's just awesome awesome news that you had the questions come flying out - it's amazing how much you really can learn and how much it can change the whole landscape of treatment!!!

Wonderful news Tommy! And what perfect timing. You can enjoy the holidays, recover from them, do your treatment and be done by the summer.

Congrats!

Great news, this is the same drug I was in a trial for last year.  I recieved the study drug (R7128) and found it very easy to tolerate.  I was UND at week 4 (I was a previous null responder) and have maintained SVR since!  All the best to you!!
