Cirrhosis reversal: Myth or reality ?

Nicely presented, understandable, and well-researched article, on the question of whether cirrhosis is reversible. It explains the difference between cirrhosis and and the other fibrotic stages as well.

I haven't seen too many explanations that equaled the job these authors did in describing extremely complicated concepts concerning the topic of fibrosis and cirrhosis.  The Latin phrase at the end threw me too until I scrolled all the way to the bottom and found this:

2 ‘panta rei, ouden menei’ Everything flows (changes), nothing remains (the same). Proposition ascribed to the philosopher Heraclitus of Ephesus, 540–480 BC.

Glad you got something out of it. Its definitely something I will save.

Great article with very specific details!  We need this kind of in-depth info.  I was really having fun until the final few sentences....here's where I derailed:

"‘Panta rhei, ouden menei’ "

If this is standard scientific lingo, then I'm really glad I didn't choose that route in life!!!

Thanks again for the article.

Have to admit I jumped to the conclusions when I started running into the Latin, but it definitely gets favorited along the Replicative Homeostasis papers and the evolution of hep C for my late night reading. Thank you.
