June bug verses hurricane, lw. just chating dx in 2001 waiting for ???type 1A blood count to low for treatments...biop. stage 3...I feel fine...take mega doses of milk thistle and "hep helper" keeps all my symptoms at bay....word out to the BD quoter...

If it really is liver pain it can be a life threatening condition. Taking something for liver pain or more commonly gallstone pain, is like hoping to disable a smoke detector while your home in burning down. ???
Treatment for liver pain can only be prescribed by a doctor. There is no over-the-counter medicine that can lessen the true pain of liver pain.

I sound like a broken record- but you really need to ask your doctor --and/or health care provider/s who have already earned your trust ; your individual profile may dictate pain med. different from that to be used by other folks; Having said that my gastro dr. has recently said"Tylenol"- though I'm sure I had previously heard Ibuprofen was OK.. At my Dr appt tom'w I will befinding that out for myself as well!

What is the cause of your liver pain? Are you sure the pain is your liver, or could it be gallbladder? Do you have Hepatitis C? Have you seen a physician about your pain?
If you would give us a little information about yourself and your condition, someone here might have some information to share with you. However, there are no doctors here, we are just people who have or have had Hepatitis C and / or family members of people with Hep C. There are lots of knowledgeable people here.
