Coffee is my tx friend. It doesn't hurt me at all, it helps me. When I went through the "nausea period" for about six weeks it wasn't my friend then .. but even then I drank the one large cup at work in the morning for the kickstart. Can't imagine doing tx without it. The doc didn't tell me to stop either, particularly when on epogen. He told me the epogen might constipate and that the coffee would help with that so don't quit if I don't want to.
I've read about the beneficial impacts of coffee on the liver and in general, actually.
Incidentally, mine is large with one cream .. no sugar. Haven't had mouth sores at all .. wonder if that's because all the coffee I drink is keeping my mouth lubricated? Or ... maybe COFFEE IS GOOD FOR MOUTH SORES!?! (Okay, tongue planted firmly in cheek there ... along with the coffee. :)
Gotta get my fix of a large, fresh, strong cuppa Starbutts everyday. And I feel fine doing so too.
Yummy-a dirty martini with 3 olives.
I mean, I drink 1 cup of coffee a day-with sugar free creamer :-)
I can't wait til I'm SVR!!!
If I don't drink coffee, I get a migraine. If I get a migraine, I turn into a bigger bi!ch. Therefore I indulge in one large cup of MickeyD's coffee on my way to work every morning. I read a post on the expert forum where Dr D told someone that coffee was okay and they should enjoy.
Now, if the solution to my migraine problem involved drinking a dirty martini every day, I would rethink my strategy, But since I'd rather not sweat the small stuff, coffee remains my daily friend.
One cup? I probably have the equivient of 4-6 shots of expresso a day. Honestly, don't know if that's good or bad but you might want read some of the studies. Couln't drink a drop of coffee on tx because of GERD. Drinking coffee reminds I'm cured and can live normal life!
