Done IT

Okay today is first Sunday with peg/riba in a very long time.

Did 12 weeks Invicek w/peg-riba and continued with peg/riba for another 36 weeks. The 48 weeks treatment for prevoius nonresponder. My Geno type is 1A. FYI-all RNA labs since treatment began were negative (no viral load dedectable). Plenty of side effects as these past 48 weeks were difficult but worth the possible cure of HCV. I still have liver a hurt but HAPPY liver. Stage 4 does not mean you must be sick it simple means you must be aware, watchful and careful.

Hope I feel better each week hereafter. Great to have these 48 weeks of treatment done.

Congratulations. You have my utmost respect and admiration. I can well imagine what a tough road to hoe this must of bee: but you did it!
Wishing you SVR foreverrrr and ever.

Thank you so much for the encouragement. I am on week 23 and I bet you must know how sometimes the fear and doubt about whether this will work can be overwhelming.

Congrats!  Wishing you continued success.  I am considering treatment but scared.  You mentioned side effects . . . What were they?

Never cleared visus until this 3 play treatment. Did interferon/riba in 1997 and then peg-interferon/riba in 2003.....This time cleared at week 4 and each draw including recent RNA lab.

Things did get better after INC but the next 36 weeks was still tough on me. Really glad it is over and looking forward to getting me back if I can remember who me was. (haha)

Congratulations.  48 weeks is tough.  I hope the VL stays non-existent after the tx drugs are gone.  I read that you were a nonresponder before.  Did you ever clear the virus on SOC

I am happy for you

It does get easier after stopping INC.  For my husband, he had about 3-4 days of what felt like withdrawal symptoms, and then he felt MUCH better.  The rest of tx was fairly easy.

Congratulations! Great news to hear you have finished treatment and that you have been UND for all VL while on treatment. Being UND at week 4 gives you a very good chance of SVR. Best of luck to you. (Let us know the 6 month post EOT VL and news).
