First shot this morning

Boy I ache as I type I'll make this short, my heads on fire, all my joints hurt, hope it gets better down the road. I am in the Telaprevir study and think I got the real thing not the placebo, after taking my second dose something kicked in.

good luck, hope you feel better soon.  Sides are diffferent for all of us.  It may not last for you. and your body may adjust to some of the sides.

hang in there the first part of tx is and can be little rough but it does become somewhat tolerable the longer you tx.

Hey guy...i'm right behind you...am waiting for a phone call to start.   Only 8-12 weeks minus two if this is your second.   I hope you got the real stuff!  They all say it gets better.  Had lunch with a gal who had a SVR from Phase 2.  Will keep u in my prayers!

Did you take it at the clinic...I heard 1st injection was on site?  I was hoping to take it at nite and sleep the worst of it off.  of course i have NO experience.

Hang in there..sounds to me like you got the real thing! My first shot left me looking for a tall bridge, a silver bullet, cyanide tablets ...something. I took super hot baths for the body aches...nearly spent 24 hrs in the tub. That was the only thing that gave me any relief at all. Second shot still sucked big time, but was WAY more manageable. Maybe yours will be too! Try to get some rest. Keep us posted on how you are doing!  Take care.

The pain you are goin tru after the first shots are the viruses being killed off...no pain no gain

Yup keep Rocker's words of wisdom with you while you realize what exactly it is that that med is doing and it will help you immensly.

Plus - once your body gets used to the meds it will be easier for you. And alot of the first sides are caused by mental anguish...we wait for them and look for them so hard we start to experience them! Thats why I did my shots at 6pm - I knew it took relatively 4 hours for me to start feeling bad and so then I could take a sleeping pill and go through it.

Hey gal,how many months are you SVR?....I was wondering the statistics on the cure rates with the situation you were in...dual viruses...didnt you have c and b?...BTW....did Mr Tyler get SRV...and i love that man just as much as you...love to watch him perform live in conert..you met him before you say....whats he really like?
