Advice about what?

Do you work for the post office? If not where do you currently work? What are the companies FMLA rules? You should probably contact the department that handles FMLA and ask them what the correct procedure is.

Why do you need FMLA currently? Are you periodically unable to work? Are you currently undergoing treatment that makes it too difficult for you to work?

I also have cirrhosis and portal hypertension and work full-time. But I may not be as ill as you I only have blood test every six months.
