GT 1A vs 1B?

My specialist has not told me whether I'm 1a or 1b but definitely that I'm GT 1. Can anyone tell me the difference between 1a and 1b?

Both are treated the same, but in triple therapy 1b tends to achieve slighty higher SVR rates 7 to 10% difference.

From the patient’s perspective there is little difference between subspecies; both are managed similarly.
