Good news

Hi everyone.  I hope you are all feeling pretty well today.  We're having a snow/sleet/ice storm AGAIN here in Maine.  I chickened out and decided to stay home from work.

Just spoke to the nurse at my gastro's office regarding the results of my liver biopsy which was done on Dec. 20.

There were only 3 things my doc had written on my chart:

Mild inflamation
No Cirosis!
Yay!

I especially liked the "Yay" part!  Anyway, he doesn't need to see me, and I don't have to go back on tx anytime soon. My plan is to have another biopsy done about every 3 years to keep tabs on it.

I just wanted to share that!
(((Hugs to all)))

'Yay' is a good thing.  Does all that mean that's an improvement over a prior biopsy?  Sounds like a good day to stay inside and play with the dog.

Well, it basically means that my liver hasn't gotten any worse since I finished tx about
1-1/2 years ago.  My prior biopsy was pre-tx, probably 2-1/2 years ago.  I still have *the dragon*, but my liver hasn't worsened.
