I got my blood work results back today I am still HCV not dectectable but my ast is a little higher, My ast is 54 and my alt is 32, I was just wondering if there is reason for alarm about my ast being over 40? I'm glad it is still und. and I am just on 400mg of ribo and reg peg. Has anyone seen there ast go up like this?

Hi my liver enzymes were all over the place, in fact at one point they were 500 where they had never been above 80 before.  When I asked the deoc he said your body is trying to balance itself out.
I am glad to hear you are doing so well.  I know how you feel I got to where I was loking at evry number and worrying it meant something
Hang in there, oh, how is your lip?  Just curious, I remember you mentioning it when I had problems
Take Care

Hi - Yes I believe it is common for the ALT/AST to rise during treatment.  Mine went from the teens to over 40 during treatment and is now back to the teens.  The drugs affect your liver.

Hope all is well,  Anne
