Hair loss....so what...as you get older it gets thinner and changes anyway...in the big picture of what is going on with you is hair really that important. I had to face that question and my answer was no. While it is a good question if it were posed to you "we can possibly cure your HCV but you will have hair loss" what would your answer have been, Hopefully you would pick the HCV cure.
"The hairless is cumulated over time. Shorter treatment means less hair loss."

Hi. Did not have hair loss due to treatment, but did have it after a hospitalization for infection. It was not caused by the infection but the STRESS of it did. Started to come out in the handfuls 2 months later. Must say tho it did grow back with tons of body and looked better then before. Stress or thyroid could be to blame. Don't worry tho as it does come back..Kim
no not so far on s/o.....but when I was on interferon and pegaferon went from waist length curly thick hair to hair falling out by hand fulls....finally cut short about 2 inches above shoulder...new hair that grew back was ram rod straight and thin.
I just finished Sovaldi and olysio and no hair loss at all, in fact hair looked great
I do have hypothyroid which is familial, mother , daughters have it,
Check your thyroid levels
That can effect hair loss, dryness etc( even my eye brows and under arms thinned from hypothyroidism )
You may need to be on thyroid medication such as synthyroid if it is off
Many experienced it with Ribo, I was hoping S&O would not cause it...
Hi & welcome my hubby was on different tx to you but his hair fell out quite alot but after tx it grew back and it was a lot thicker too. Good luck with your tx. Jules
