Thank u I am taking those prenatal (spelling?) pills. I'm not preg I just heard those will help too.
There is a form of vitamin B, called Biotin, that sometimes helps with the hair loss issue. I tried not to wash my hair too often, and conditioned my scalp with coconut oil.
For some strange reason, my hair didn't start falling out until about 4 weeks after my Treatment stopped. It was very messy, and upsetting. But at 10 weeks post treatment, it stopped falling out. I found trimming it shorter helped...less hair for me to see in my car, in my food, etc.
Luckily, hats are really in style now, in all kinds of styles~ I never did actually get any bald spots...good luck
I lost a lot of hair. I used to put a scrunchy around my hair without twisting it. Now I loop it twice.
But - at 13 weeks post treatment I'm happy to say it's healthier and starting to grow back in.
I tried all sorts of things. Switched to gentle shampoos recommended for chemo patients, used moroccan oil as a deep conditioning treatment, washed it once or twice a week, switched to a soft bristle brush. Not sure if any of that helped, cause it still kept falling out. It took about two months for it to stop falling out.
Good luck to you. It's hard to have happen, but it's not the worst that happens - at least it wasn't in my case.

I'm in week 28 of my TX and have lost about 50% of my hair... mostly evenly, but with some thinner spots. kentj229 is correct... it does get better after treatment.
I have a dear friend battling breast cancer who has lost all of her hair. That really helps me to keep things in perspective when I'm struggling with my own hair issues.
Hang in there!
Yes I did loose a lot of hair when I was going through TX but after I finished TX it got better there are ways to help with the hairloss...buy silk or satin pillow cases because cotton ones tent to be rough and can be worse with the hair loss...use mile soap on your hair...its going to happen...its part of the interferon but just those two little things can make it a little better
