Help!

Not only do I have Hep C from a blood transfusion in the '80s, my "other" has it also. He is quite a lot younger than I am, feels pretty rough a lot of the time, has no insurance, or steady income - sounds like a bum? huh? but I assure you he is not. He lives with me and helps me a lot by waiting on me and helping me with my art gallery. He does not qualify for medicare or medicaid in Texas. I personally have tried peg inferron for six months, didn't work, actually made it worse - and it's terrible stuff for those of us that it does not work on. So I eat healthy, exercise, and stay active, and feel pretty good most of the time. My real question is - after all this blather, does anyone know of any place we can get him some help. He was diagnosed 14 years ago. Thanks so much. Genie123

My heart goes out to you as I feel in this country there is no reason why anyone should have be hungry or hurt without some support.  I am 56 and started tx 16 weeks ago, because I have 10 grandchildren and would like to be around for the next generation, so  I chose tx.  It is so difficult but I'm "keeping my eye on the prize."  Best wishes in finding a trial that will cover all of the costs.

Thanks so much, I should have thought of this myself as I have been offered those trials twice. Decided at my age I would just tough it out, and maybe get a transplant. I don't want to spend any more time in the hospital, or being sicker than I have to. But Kayne is just 47 and has lots of years to perhaps heal.

He can get free treatment if he is accepted on a clinical trial for one of the new drugs
Got to

There are four locations in Texas.
Also check out the trials for Boceprevir..
