HepC Type 3a and CLL

What is the prognosis for a sufferer of HepC Type 3a that has completed 6 months of 180mg Interferon weekly injections and 600mg + per day of Ribaferon with no success, who also has stage one almost stage 2 CLL. Patient is a healthy 39yo male with no family history of either condition? Where can I find more information on others in the same state? What medical as well as alternative therapies are available?

sw --- there are quite a few others in that position here on this board...

My suggestion would be to get with CS - and to read the forums --- get to know the folks here... and also learn about this disease in a different way.

Much luck to ya!

What is your weight why did you only took 600mg riba aday?
Were you ever UND if so when first, and when did you find out you relapsed?

As a Stage 1-2 disease progression to cirrhosis isnt going to happen any time soon.
You have time to wait for the newer drugs, or to workout in conjuction with your Dr a more intensive and/or longer Tx if you can tolerate it.

Alternative treatments cant and wont cure Hepc. Only Interferon kills it.
They may help with symptoms and some might and its a big might slow down progression.

btw i am a G3a stage 2 2x non responder.

All the Best
