HepC water intake?

I know when you're going thru tx, you need to drink at least half your body weight in ounces of water, daily.  Also I know a normal liver that's not infected with HepC needs alot of water as well, like around 8-12oz. bottles a day.  How about ppl who are infected like me with HepC, do I still need to drink alot of water and what is the reason for this?  I'm a little slow on this one because if your liver is infected with HepC, why would you feel a need to overflush and possibly .  Wouldn't that just run down your infected liver faster than with less water?

The average body needs approx 1 1/2 litres of fluid per day for proper organ function. If you over hydrate, it needs to be alot. You can cause water intoxication, and life threatening electrolyte imbalances.

I've never heard that people who have hep need to drink more water than normal before honestly. I can't think of any reason why it would be advised except to keep flushing toxins out as quickly as possible.  I can't see how it could HURT your liver or run it down though.....nobody should be drinking THAT much water because that's not good for you either.
