My partner just finished his treatment about 4 months ago and his sex drive is now totally back to normal, it came back within a couple of weeks of finishing treatment ------no issues now

I'm a year past tx and things have returned to normal (whatever normal means).

That was about the only thing I was able to enjoy and had the energy to do on treatment. :-)

I also had heightened sensitivity, but fortunately not to the 'touch me not' point many people experience.

I was like Diane. Too tired to do much of the "work". There were times when I was pretty much "touch me not" too. Just didn't feel comfortable in my skin.

Diane = Peg Bundy from Married with Children   :D

(Sorry I can't speak to the issue I was not with anyone during my course of treatment but I can tell you I was so worn out I am pretty sure I could have cared less about that..........I just wanted to rest and be by myself when I got the chance).

Basically I could take it or leave it... as long as I don't have to do much of the work.

This is NOTHING like I was before tx... I used to drive my husband nuts. I think he is kind of relieved.

well said by R Glass
I'm in week 36 and hgb around 11 - up from a low of 9.1 with Riba reduction.
I still 'want' but sometimes my body won't or can't deliver. :(
This is a noted side effect as this forum and my Dr confirmed.
As they saying goes - this too shall pass (we hope!)
I found it better to 'try' when well rested and hydrated.

Yep.  It's weird, physical attraction is still there.  But I don't like to be touched.

Hi Bruno-
The highest percentage of people seem to bounce back very well and quickly after tx. With two little children perhaps your wife is happy to have a little break anyway!

No loss of desire for me. It takes a bit more out of me as my hgb has is around 9.5 with procrit injections.

I am glad treatment is going relatively well for you.

Be Well,
Dave
