I am starting treatment tomorrow!

After nearly two years since my diagnosis, I am starting treatment tomorrow.  There are a lot of great posts tonight answering my current questions.  I know this is may be one of the biggest challenges of my life, but I can't help but be excited to finally begin!  I have the lotions, creams, eye drops, ginger and other supplies I learned about from this forum.  I am so grateful for everyone who has shared their experience and offered gentle and supportive advice!

Light fuse - wishing you the best; this forum is a wealth of information and supportive people.  It will help you through the journey.

I finished 48 weeks in December - the juice is worth the squeeze.

Good luck.

Congratulations on the start of your treatment Rebecca. I wish all the best to you, and that nothing comes up and you can handle anything that does. I'll follow your every post. My husband and myself are getting our own fibroscans this week coming, so chances are one or both will be following on your heels. You're in my thoughts and prayers. Stay strong girl. Liz & Gerry

I just started mine today.
I never knew how hard it would be to eat all that fat!!!
I'm not used to it at all.  I  eat 95% dark leafy greens and the colours of the rainbow in fruit and vege.
I hope this new diet is not going to affect my metabolism too much.
Have to do the injection in an hours time then the night dose of telaprevir.
So far so good except for feeling so full.
Good luck with your treatment Rebecca

Good luck Rebecca. It sounds like you are well prepared.
I wish you minimal side effects from treatment.
You are taking action to fight back against the virus. That is a big step in the right direction.
