I'm cured.
I just got my 12 week after treatment viral load results: SVR!!!!!! I'm cured!!!!! I'm crying as I type this.

genotype 1a
compensated cirrhosis
treatment: 12 weeks Sovaldi/Olysio
VL at start 2 million
Comments: blood platelets have been around 60 since last spring, they are up to 72 as of yesterdays blood work. I am hoping that my liver function will continue to improve over time.

Congratulations! Your name reminds me a few years back. My friend calls and says, I just got a ten month old basset that came from an abusive home. Naturally she wanted money. I traded her seventy banana trees. Started with eleven that season. Anyways I dug, loaded them on my truck. Traded and kept him three weeks till a phone call ended with a woman I knew her dad, knocked on my door. She just lost her baby and he got such a wonderful home. I can still see him sniffing everything over and over again. Hats off to you and him for new beginnings! GoGG

Kinda feels like you've been given a new lease on life without the burden
of disease. Well, you may even reverse some of the damage done and 1
day return to the "Days of Innocence". Wouldn't that be a blast!

Oh goody. I am beside myself seeing these two SVR's one after another. This is such good news - for you and for all of us fighting this thing. I'm also 1a with cirrhosis and on week 5 of S/O.

Great news, I'm 1a also and on my fourth week of s/o, on the third week my vl was <15 detected. Most of my liver functions are at normal range...really sweet. Best wishes to you and congratulations.
