Hi, my name is Mike, I contracted Hep C through an operation I had in 1985 where I had reconstructive surgery on my right leg. Only in the last three years have I been aware of the Hep C. I've had to have a liver transplant through the cancer it caused. I cannot get compensation from the Skipton Fund as my records were destroyed. My question is, can a specialist tell from the scars on my leg, what type of operation I would have had and the time it would have taken for such an operation and would it have needed a blood transfussion.
I know I did have a transfusion, but in this situation I need to prove it. Can you help?
regards. Mike Cutler
