Interferon Lambda

I may have missed it but I was wondering about opinions on the list regarding this drug.  Trials are recruiting in the research hospital where I live for Pharmasset with regular Interferon/Riba and PSI 7977 as well as PSI 7977, BMS 790052 and Ribavirin and the Interferon Lambda BmS 790052, Riba, BMS 650032 study.  There may be more studies too but these were attractive because of the two which don't use interferon or the more benign form.  These are for naive subjects.  The lambda study is double blinded but the others are open label.  All comments would be appreciated.

hopefully some of the more well informed members will be able to contribute.  i also looked at the pharmasset study with the two DAAs.  exciting stuff.  with cirrhosis i need to be considering studies that have proven drugs including interferon and ribivirin.   if i had little or no scaring i suppose i could take a chance on the no interferon trial but my inclination would be to wait until phase 3 with the no interferon arm.  i dont know about the medical conditions that might exclude you only the doc can say for sure.  have you had a biopsy yet?

I am going to ask the doc about it tomorrow at my consultation though it is double blinded and I don't like that.  The Pharmasset study which also looks interesting and eliminates the use of interferon entirely requires "no evidence of a medical condtion associated wit chronic liver disease" and I am unsure if that refers to liver failure or ancillary diseases like thyroid dysfunction or lichen planus.  That is open label. Is this the 2DAA that others were referring to on another thread?

the lambda interferon seems to have fewer side effects with efficacy equal to the peg interferon 2a and 2b if memory serves me.  i believe two of the more astute members on this board, cowriter and maybe james10500 were on lamda interferon with ribavirin and i believe they both cleared. i also looked at this trial but do not qualify.
