I was at work taking out trash from public parks. I lifted my hand out of one trash bag and blood was everywhere on my hands. I did have gloves on. A tiny bit got on my forearm no cuts there though. I don't know if some got anywhere else.  Please help me. If this is not a risk can one please explain why

Yes move on. Scabs can't get HCV. You could have been infected by say a dentist or old medical procedure years ago but blood on a scab is not going to do it. If you are worried get tested.

FYI using soap and water will not kill the virus. Not even sure bleach will but that is what us, those who have been infected, were instructed to do if we were cut and bled on a surface clean it with bleach. Not soap and water.

You are not infected. If you are very concerned, get tested then you will be relieved.

I hope you emediately washed it off..
From what I have been told by a doctor that you cant get it if you do not have a cut that it can get into.It is Blood to Blood Transmitted only in Hep C..

Oh you poor thing! Why oh why would you stick your hands INTO the garbage like that? Did you call the police? Were there body parts and things in there? I'm sure the lab could test that blood!!!!!!!!!!!  Great news you had gloves on who knows what diseases could be in there (aka HIV and other things).

hey there, smart enough to where gloves. if you got a tiny bit of blood on your arm and you have no open wounds, there is no risk of transmission. Hep C is transmitted blood to blood.
