Agree. It is very odd to hear to limit water intake when it's so easy to drink Gatorade or one of the sport drinks as suggested to bring the sodium up. Certainly something to discuss further with the doc as its important to drink. Your doctor might have a good rationale for this.
I have to limit sodium but dr said to go for it some days. Not to cut back h2o less than 1/2 body weight in oz. She also said Gatorade.
Karen :)
I added 3-4 cups of chicken broth (with a little added sea salt) when my sodium dropped. I still kept drinking the water, though. The chicken broth went down easy and actually helped with the nausea and the bloating I was having. Drnking the broth brought my sodium level back up.
As noted above, low sodium can be dangerous.
I added one or two vitamin zero waters each day (like a sports drink but does not glow in the dark) and it seems to help. Hope you are feeling better soon.
Yes low sodium levels can be dangerous, have you tried drinking some sport drinks?
