Unimaginable Science. Hope that they fast track this one. Hope that all here that are cirrhotic make it until this comes out. Hope not "years away" as projected.
Thanks bro- its good to see this kind of news ;)
Lets keep the miracles coming in-sooner or later we gonna get them
Hope Youre doing well
every wish /God Bless

Wow, incredible! They need to roll it out in trials asap. I see they mentioned that they wanted to start trials within 5 years... but jeez! That's a long time... why does it take so even think about starting clinical trials?

I too felt fine except for being tired before treatment. I decided it's best to give it a try and 'possibly' beat this thing now rather than later. I just started treatment on Friday and feel almost 100% fine with the exception of being really irritable, my concentration got slightly worse, and it seems for some odd reason that my eyes got a little blurrier (just a tad bit). Other than that I've felt fine - it's been fine. Who knows, I'm young and I've only had one shot so far as well... but I'm praying that it stays this way. I'm a single father of a one and three year old and it's hard enough watching my kids half the week without support. I'll be done with treatment in 47 more weeks (hopefully it's working so they'll even let me tx 47 more weeks). But after that ***hopefully*** I'll never have to look back. :)

"Oh yes the treatment I have actually not decided on having yet??????? Still feeling good but just tired a bit at times..... so It is really difficult for me to agree to treatment that is going to make me feel close to death when I feel just fine now?????? Wondering what have others done in this situation??? Would love to hear some thought and opinion! "
I guess that is one of the things that made me personally decide FOR treatment right now. I feel GREAT..lol :) I'm very healthy and have no health complications and have increased my physical fitness over the last three years to include running (NOT marathoning .. yet :) and I wanted to treat while I feel good so that I would be at optimum physical condition to better weather the side effects of tx. I didn't want to wait too many years and risk that my physical condition would deteriorate. I also happen to feel in pretty good mental condition at the moment so .. I guess I felt in pretty prime "dragon slaying" condition. That is my own personal decision combined with a host of other factors I took into consideration based on where I'm at in life on a number of other things - job, relationship, family, etc.
Best of luck to you in deciding what is best for YOU.

Wonderful article! This is the sort of breakthrough science that creates excitement. It may be awhile before it translates into human trials, but what a nice starting point!!!
I think in many ways that medecine is just now heading into a new world of therapies, cures, and genetic reconfiguration.
Nice post!

Any new news on this breakthrough, Gauf? Fill me in when you find out if you would...not that I have chirrhosis...now and I hope never... but wanting to cover all bases should my future be so involved!
