There will be lots more info coming out of the Berlin liver conference (end of March and beginning of April).

The FDA gave PSI-7977 fast track status about six months ago.  I don't know if that applies to the combo therapy, but the spirit of what is driving the FDA would suggest that either it does or if not that the FDA would promptly grant this now.

"but 14 day therapy without inf........maybe dreams do come true "
==========================================
The drug combo has not finished phase 2 trials yet.

It could fail for any number of reasons and may not every be approved.

There is a huge difference in treating 30 or so people to below the quantification and a 14 day TX. I am certain that those who treat with this will need to treat for weeks or months following viral clearance; ie, if you stopped TX on the people in the trial at week 2 probably every one of them would relapse.

The question is how long must people be kept on TX, this TX?

In this forum a Vertex quad therapy trial participant recently relapse that had at least an RVR, but relapsed after stopping at 12 weeks.  It is entirely possible that they too were clear at week 2.

I'm not trying to be critical, but people have to understand what they may be waiting for.  Having said that I am just as excited as the next guy.

Keep in mind that .although the news certainly looks bright for the future there is still no release dates on any of these meds.as being discussed in other threads right now.

Personally.....as I imagine with most folks, stage of liver damage is a first and foremost consideration.
