Missed a days dose :/

Does anyone think that it's made an impact on my Tx by missing 1 day of meds all together?  I'm wk 14 of 24 so I'm thinking maybe not but I'm no doctor...any thoughts anyone. Thx
Deb

Hi ekkie, I had similar problems though I had to take pills 5 times a day so it was hard.  That was when I started writing it on a calendar.
People made fun of me but at least I knew I had taken it and what time.
The Incivek was really strict had to take the pills at a certain time with 20 grams of fat, ugh
You will do great, you are over halfway done

Oh forgot to add this. As far as feeling the drugs in your body each person has different side effects to hardly any at all.
Take care

I think what they are trying to say that around a certain week in treatment your body is saturated with the HCV meds, that being said it can take 6 months for your body to rid itself of these heavy duty drugs. Hope that helped a little
Peace to you

What I did was put my afternoon's dose in special tray on my nightstand at night...And then take them the next afternoon. That tray would be looking at me at night, so I never forgot to put that dose there. Like I said, I didn't forget, I had 3 separate (over the course of the 3 month treatment) ER type of migraines, and I rolled the dice which I'm sure many think highly stupid of me, but that was what I did and I take the consequences. Luckily I did SVR. I felt those meds so strongly that I just figured that accumulation would get me though. But that's only my own experience and I don't advise anyone else to do the same.

Yes all good ideas tried most except the rubber band thing....I Have to confess that my problem at the moment is for some reason getting side tracked. if there is something I have to do in the morning that I don't usually do I tend to forget all about the pill until hours later.  In the evening I am distracted by my birds. It seems on my way to get the pill I think Oh I'll pick this up and put it away on the way and I'm off and running, but Two hrs later I take my pill. I'm beginning to think its not a med issue :-/ lol has anyone had similar experiences? I could use some feedback, am I losing my marbles.

I'm not advising ANYONE to do this, but I missed 3 separate doses (not consecutively, that would be a bad no, no, I should think) because of migraines that just made me taking S & O totally intolerable. I SVR'd anyway. I'm sure you'll be fine, most of it was worrying for me.

Those pill boxes are great if your only taking a few pills.   I use one for meds now.   Your phone alarm is very helpful.

Our memory sure does fade in and out while on these drugs that's for sure.
I ended up getting a weekly pill box from Walgreens (Dollar Store too) and that way I didn't double up or miss a dose again.  Actually toward the end of Tx was so excited and methodically lined them up with notes on my pill box.
Maybe obsessive was more like it!

I put rubber bands around my wrist at night to make sure I took all my pills the next day.  It worked really well.  These meds really mess with your memory.  You can take your meds and turn around I forget what you just did.

You be ok

Hi there!  I don't think that one day will make a lot of difference.  I would try in the future to be vigilent about taking your meds.
Sorry, don't mean to be preachy.  I know that for me, I could not remember so had to write it on a calendar on the wall.
I had to take 2 pills 3 times a day with 20 grams of fat, that was Incivek, then had to take the Riba, 3 in the am and 2 in pm, the shot once a week was never difficult to forget, ugh :)
Don't feel bad, everyone makes mistakes, you will be fine

Oh good! That makes me feel a lot better. I thought it might be ok but really wasn't sure, so thanks so much for easing my mind Kim. I dbl dosed last wk. I don't know what's going on with the brain, I swear my memory is about shot. I hope it gets better after treatment, I don't like not remembering. Am I going to have some wierd SFX after I stop Tx. I've been reading that some people feel worse.....hoping it won't.
Take care

Your good Hun ... I took a double dose by accident and then had to skip a day and a half.  Still cleared no prob.  The meds accumulate in your system especially since your so far into it, I'm sure it won't matter.
BTW I still felt the effects of my Riba for almost 6 month after stopping Tx.
All of the meds are so super strong and even tho you've missed a dosage your body is still saturated with them.
Even if you were to miss a mild drug ( compared to Hep C meds ) such as an
antibiotic, the Docs always say no problem just carry on.
Please don't worry!
