Names of Hepatologists

I am living in Brampton, Ontario. I am suffering from Chronic Hepatitis C. I would like to be treated by a competent Hepatologist practicing in Brampton, Mississaga or toronto. I will be grateful if someone from this Community can provide me names of the Drs. Thanks.

Thanks for your rejoinder. I have gone thru her website as well. She is well established and has conducted several clinical trials. I am just awaiting response from someone who has got treatment from her. Dawin

No personal knowledge of Dr. Heathcote.  Just that she is generally well regarded, is involved in med trials and is a published liverhead .  I think a person or two on the forum have been treated by her.

Thanks, will, for your detailed reply. I will make efforts to contact Dr. Wong. However, I will like to know 2-3 more names of Hepatologists, in case, I do not get Appt from Dr. Wong. Is the name of Dr. as Florence Wong? And the address as Toronto Hospital 621 University Ave Toronto? As per your experience, does she give Appt within a month or 2 or takes more time?Please confirm. Thanks for providing useful information. Actually, there are many Hepatologists there and I was keen to know the names of 2-3 top ones, so that if I do not get Appt from one then I can try the 2nd or 3rd best. Since, I have no personal knowledge so I thought I should seek help from the Community. Dawin

For those in  the Province of Ontario Canada.. The Liver Clinic at the Toronto General Hospital  (Western Division ) is  considered   "Top Notch"
Many knowledgeable Hepa's there with decades of experince with all liver diseases .
Involved in many of the current HCV trials..
