Free Hep C Testing in Seattle

Discovered a wonderful resource in Seattle dedicated to helping people concerned with Hep C. It is called the Hepatitis Education Project
phone 206 732 0311
They are located in
Maritime Bldg
911 Western Ave Suite 302
Seattle 98104
They provide counseling, free screenings and can help get free blood tests. They are terrific people. Think they have a website.

Excellent information. Which reminds me that yesterday, while talking to our board of Health office (verifying immunizations), I happened to think about this issue and asked What, if anything Volusia County (Florida) has for testing.

She said they had a grant so that anyone can come in and get tested at to cost to them!

I also asked about HIV.  They test for that also, but there is a fee of approximately $18.  I thought that also interesting, too, but of course, my main focus is the Hep C testing at no cost.  It is confidential and no hassle, except filling out their information, then you are assigned a number.  It's one time becoming a number isn't a bad thing.  : -)

I encourage anyone in Florida to check with their county Health Dept (which is really a State Agency, but we won't go there) if they don't have insurance abd/or a doctor.

Maybe there are other places around the country?
