simple indigestion or ??? liver probs coming back?

two years ago I successfully completed treatment for Hep C and have since been undetectable (last test in August).  I had my Gallbladder out 3 years ago so I know it's not that. But for the last 3 nights I have been up most of the night with really bad pain just under the ribcage on the right hand side in my liver area.  this gets better during the day but at night it is painful. Also I have a lot of gas bubbles with this,  to the point of throwing up nothing but mucusy bubbles.  I take protonix daily but I guess it isn't working (samples from my doc I saw in april, when I went back to that state to get my stuff from storrage) I have since moved away from my doc's area and am on unemployment and will lose it in about 6 weeks with no COBRA I couldn't afford the 550 a month copay.

I have been told that the liver doesn't have nerves so (supposedly) the pain can't be from that.  and with my gall bladder out it can't be that.... so why this severe pain.  if it gets too bad I will go to urgent care but they charge so much I hate to do that.  I'm just getting scared it could be liver probs again.  I am starting over completely and don't need this again. I moved from northern PA to lafayette IN.    BTW for those who rem me HI How ya doin'?

Hi, I had the same pain but on the other side.  It turned out to be gastritis, diagnosed by endoscope.  My doc prescribed prilosec and I laid off the coffee for a little while.  Good Luck

omg yes it has been a long time since I have been on.  I think it's just because of the area that hurts that scared me.  I went to the pharmacy last night and the pharmacist said it sounded like it was gastric also and was probably just acting up and to try an anti gas/ antacid. so I will do that for a day or so and if it doesnt work I'll go to the urgent care facility nearby.   I just don't really have the money to spend lol I hate being out of work.

I hope everything is doing good with you.  Take care lady

HEY YOU! Wow long time - me 2 on the 2 year it's hard to believe it's been that long isn't it?  :)

I think you should go to the doc.  If you have been SVR you are SVR for good so it's not like the hep came back and is disrupting your liver or anything. I can't remember what stage you are but it just seems like it's something more gastric stomach related to me (but really what do I know).

I get you about the cost of Cobra - I think it's like 700 for me and my kids if I lost my job but unemployment gives you 400 a week or something so uh sure........Gosh it's like they think they are doing some big favor for you on that one right?

Is there some clinic or ER in the area that could see you? I moved almost two years ago and finally just got a new doctor myself - its the kind of thing you dont really think of until you need one!

Good lucky Painty I'm glad to see you and am sorry you are sick!

Congratulations on being SVR.

Have you had this pain for three nights only or has it occurred before?

I'd see a doctor to deal with some of the possibilities Canary just mentioned.

You seem to have paid close attention to your symptoms, time of day, good description, etc. If it were me, I might first go to a symptom-checking site like http://symptoms.wrongdiagnosis.com/  to give me some ideas before making an appointment.

Hi...
Some people with gallbladders gone develop problems.
And then there is the pancreas. colon, stomach.....
is there a people's clinic you can go to?
Hope it resolves itself though.
But I would see a doc.
Bestwishes to you and hope you feel better.

Anyone else on this forum have suggestions?.
