ast alt question

hello everybody,

iam now 3 years svr and in this time my ast and alt were always between 15-25 but my bilirubin
was always elevated from 20-40 umol and now 13.this is the lowest numer in 8 years so iam happy about that.

my last test  showed that my ast is 31 (norm range 36)and my alt is 25(norm range 50)
these tests were done by my primaray care doc.
when i go for US every 6 months to the university clinic (transplant center)their norm range for ast is 50.
should i be worried about the slightly elevation even still in the norm range?

i have to say that iam taking at the moment some medicines(lyrica and remeron) for to go off the tavor as i want to quit them, its very hard to go off them after taking them for 4 years wich could be a reason for the elevation i think
i not understand why there are diffrent norm ranges for ast.

i apreciate any opinion or answer
marc

different labs use different ref ranges normal is normal numbers vary that is  why there are ranges. If you have questions about your lab results  and especially if you are considering stopping taking a medicine your doctor has prescribed for you for a reason, you should definitely discuss this with your doctor.
