You are soon right! I called the MD. Still haven't received a call back. So I called CVS. They had no record of a scrip or request. They were very accommodating though. The rep said they will mark it as urgent and contact my doc. She suggested that I call again as well. In the morning I will. It's been a rough twenty years of poking prodding trial etc.
Thanks for your support Lynn.

Hi davw
Give them a call. Between  my insurance, my pharmacy drug coverage, my doctors office and CVS I must  have made a dozen calls and spent 2 hours on the phone ( mostly listening to hold music lol) to get things going.

Could be held up somewhere give the log jam a push.

Good luck with treatment

Thanks,
It's been over a week. No word yet. Anxious, but optomistic.

I go to CVS for my regular drugs.  KNOW YOUR COPAYS.   I have to watch them.  One day I went to pick up a script and it was about $60 more...they said well they applied the Caremark to reduce my cost.  I said ah no...check my insurance....they did .... it was cheaper by about $60 bucks....I told them not to automatically apply the Caremark to my scripts

About the only time I use Caremark is at the first of the year when my Medicare supplemental Part D drug plan requires me to meet a deductible. and my drug cost are a about 3 - 4 times higher during what they call the Medicare donut hole period.  Once I am out of that I strictly use my Part D.

It comes down to know your prescription co-pays.  It is important.

I have Caremark CVS for my speciality pharmacy also and my insurance is BCBS. Caremark set up the copay assistance through the pharmacy companies for me.

I pay only 5 dollars for Sovaldi and 25 for Olysio so only 30 dollars for both for a 4 week supply amazing when you consider the cost of both medications.

I totally agree with don't worry it depends on your insurance. I would expect you probably will know in the next day or two.

Good luck on your treatment

Depends on your coverage.  Call your insurance company.  Ask Caremark if they have co-pay assistance.  Expect calls back and forth before you get it worked out with Caremark.  It can be trying.  I got assistance from them with co-pays.  Didn't have anything to do with income.

Best to you
