Let your doctor know asap, you don't want to be thinking you can't do this. There may be inhalers they can give you to use during Tx. I don't know where you live, but here in SoCal it is hot and smokey right now, so would not be good here right now anyway. I have asthma, and I got Riba cough pretty quickly, but I adjusted to it and it wasn't a problem. It never got so bad I couldn't breathe. Of course drink lots of water. Let us know how it goes for you.
I was recently told that I had the hep c type 3 virus, many years ago I had the hep b, and c, after losing my spleen from this I was told that my body had beaten the virus and that I now had antibodies and that I could never get it again, hmmm , that was 15 years ago. anyways, I was informed that I was approved for 24 weeks worth of the treatment, (the pill ), not Harvoni but another that was as equal (I hope ) I would very much appreciate hearing from anyone who is or has gone thru the treatment so that I can familiarize myself with what to expect and any other information I need or should know about this journey and it's bumpy road.
Yes you should call your doctor asap. The fact you haven't gotten any sleep and starting something new after a long wait could affect how your feeling.
Don't wait if your not getting sleep on a ongoing basis during treatment. Let
your doctor know so you can get relief. I had that problem and waited and wished I would have address the issue with my doctor sooner.
Here is a forum that maybe helpful… but first call your doctor.

Lots of people do the Harvoni/Riba treatment without much trouble but I was just miserable
From the Riba, not the Harvoni
My last day was 5 days ago and I am feeling much better already. Sleeping better, no terrible headaches or insomnia and all that other nasty stuff
I do not have a history of lung problems but did develop a bit of cough and a low grade fever that seemed so minor compared to all the other stuff I was dealing with
It's only 12 weeks! You can do it!
But do see what your doc has to say about the cough. There may be an elegant way to deal with that
Good luck on your treatment!
Thanks so much to all of you! Sorry I was so slow to answer- we just closed on a house yesterday so it was a busy few days. Now I can relax a bit, but I still need to get homeowners insurance, call the town to get water on (house is a short sale that has been vacant for 4+ years. In retrospect, this wasn't a good time to do all this, but I've found that timing never works out, even if I plan everything out perfectly. Better to plan for it to be a clusterf*ck and be pleasantly surprised if it isn't!
I have been able to sleep and the weird breathing feeling has subsided a lot, so that's a relief. So far I feel OK although that means nothing- I felt OK for the first couple months of triple therapy, then it all hit me at once.
One thing I've noticed is that my legs were really swollen for the first couple days of treatment. I mean my legs aren't slender at the best of times lol, and I usually have some putting edema in my ankles, but this was to,the point where I couldn't feel my shin and I could make a huge dent by pressing on my leg. I did amuse myself by taking pictures and sending them to my kids to traumatize them though

Well I don't know how that happened - I lost half my post but posted twice.
Anyway, as fun as it is to horrify my,kids, I'm glad that my legs are better today. I'm weighing myself daily, which is what we do to patients with heart disease to make sure they're not retaining too much fluid. That way I know if things are getting out of control.
Other than the edema, I've had a few mild headaches, more like pains in my head really. Naturally, it's early days yet and I felt fine with the triple therapy until I got about 8 weeks, then everything hit me at once. But 12 we
Dam n! This is crazy, I'm posting from my phone and I must keep hitting something . This is my last try, I promise! I was saying, 12 weeks is pretty doable anyway. The only thing that would worry me is my platelets , but as far as I know, Riba and Harvoni don't hit the platelets.
I'll keep you all posted on how things are going. Wishing everyone a good day and SVR to all!
