Make that plugging away.  Now I must have the bird flu!

Good advise above....the important thing is the VL....and being a "good" patient and FLGuy suggests.  Control the things you can and forget the rest....

I'm done with treatment and my enzymes did not fluctuate much once the intial drop occured, but the doc told me not to put too much importance on that cause after time the meds can raise the enzymes.

Keep plucking away!  Good luck with the forthcoming results!

AST 39 ALT 32 really aren't out of range.

Both times that I treated my enzymes elevated and so did my chloesterol.

The real measurement to monitor is your VL.  On my tx it elevated; game over due to a viral breakthrough.

It's hard but relax.

You have very little in your control while on tx.  The patient's job is to take the meds, show up for labs, eat smartly, rest adequately, stay active and do your best to stay vertical.  The number that's important is the Heptimax result that you'll get soon.  My ast/alt were never in range during tx.  I got to the point with the doc that I didn't want to talk about enzymes, there was nothing he, or I, could do about them.  "Just give me the v.l.,  Doc"   Minimize what you need to worry about and what you need to do.  Tx is tough enough with all the other junk without your head swimming in numbers.

Dorsey slow down!  Don't necessarily assume that it means anything - you know you'll get the heptimax results soon - try and breathe!

I had the same thing happen to me - they spiked after being at say 20 for a year and I called my doc for an EMERGENCY appointment and drove like a lunatic all the way over. When I got there he actually laughed at me and told me to slow down that it was no big deal and I was fine.

Turned out I was.  For some reason they just spiked.

Those are NOT that high.  If they'd gone up into the 200s well then I would worry but chances are you are still merrily rolling along at UND.

Post the second you get that pcr result back!!!!!!!!!!!
